Peer Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to GURU: Journal of Islamic Education Studies undergoes a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that both reviewers and authors remain anonymous to maintain objectivity and academic integrity.

The review process includes:

  1. Initial Screening by the editorial team to check conformity with the journal’s focus, scope, and formatting guidelines.
  2. Plagiarism Check using dedicated software.
  3. Scientific Review by at least two qualified reviewers in the relevant field.
  4. Revision Stage where authors respond to reviewers’ comments.
  5. Final Decision by the editorial board (accepted / minor revision / major revision / rejected).

The average review process takes approximately 4–8 weeks, depending on the number of submissions and article complexity.
