Author Guidlines

Authors who wish to submit their manuscripts to GURU: Journal of Islamic Education Studies are expected to follow these guidelines:

1. Article Type

The journal accepts research articles, conceptual papers, literature reviews, and academic reflections relevant to Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and related Islamic studies.

2. Language
Manuscripts may be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English, using proper academic language and style.

3. Manuscript Format

The manuscript should be typed in Microsoft Word, Times New Roman 12 pt, 1.5 spacing, on A4 paper size with 2.5 cm margins on all sides. The length of the article should be between 4,000–7,000 words, including references. The structure consists of: Title, Author Name(s), Affiliation, Abstract (Indonesian and English), Keywords, Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References.

4. Abstract and Keywords

Abstracts must be written in both Indonesian and English, not exceeding 200 words each, with 3–5 keywords.

5. References and Citation

References should follow the APA Style (7th Edition). The use of Mendeley or Zotero is strongly recommended.
At least 70% of the references must come from scholarly journals or books published within the last ten years.

6. Originality and Publication Ethics

Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
All submissions will be checked for plagiarism, with a maximum similarity threshold of 20%.

7. Submission Procedure

Authors are required to submit their manuscripts via the journal’s Open Journal System (OJS) at https://ejournal.stisdafabondowoso.ac.id/ejurnal/index.php/guru/login . Submission and registration guidelines are available on the journal website.
