Abstract

This article aims to describe the learning design of Islamic Religious Education based on multiculturalism, then describes the components that must be arranged in multicultural-based learning. This study uses a qualitative method in the form of library research. Data were collected through relevant literature sources in the form of journal articles, books, and news that analyzed into research findings. The results of this study indicate that the design of multicultural-based Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning can be done through the preparation of learning plans such as syllabus and RPP that contain multicultural values. Implementation of multicultural-based learning design can be resolved by 1) problem solving learning method by taking the theme of actual issues, and 2) collaborating with various social communities.
