Abstract

This study examines the strategic role of curriculum organization in enhancing the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning to shape student character. The problem addressed is the minimal emphasis on affective and psychomotor aspects in PAI, which is caused by the dominance of fragmented curriculum models. Therefore, this research aims to analyze how curriculum organization can be optimized to bridge the gap between knowledge and religious values. Using a qualitative approach with a library research method, this study analyzes various literature sources, including books and scientific journals. The main findings show that a fragmented curriculum (separated subject) tends to produce a shallow understanding, while an integrated curriculum model proves more effective in shaping student character holistically. The integrated curriculum is capable of connecting Islamic teachings with contemporary issues, making them relevant and engaging for students. In conclusion, PAI curriculum organization is not merely a material arrangement but a vital and transformative foundation for producing a generation that is knowledgeable, has noble character, and is adaptable to global dynamics.
