Abstract
The moral crisis among the younger generation in the digital era has become a significant challenge for education, particularly in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The rapid access to digital information is not always accompanied by adequate moral literacy, requiring adaptive and contextual curriculum innovation. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve teachers’ competencies and strengthen students’ moral internalization through mentoring the implementation of an adaptive PAI curriculum at SMP Negeri 1 Cermee, Bondowoso Regency. The study employed a participatory action research (PAR) approach consisting of needs assessment, mentoring implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants included Islamic Religious Education teachers, students of grades VII–IX, and school management. Data were collected through participatory observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. The results indicate an improvement in teachers’ ability to design contextual learning tools, increased students’ moral and spiritual awareness, and the development of an adaptive PAI curriculum document integrating Islamic values and digital literacy. Furthermore, the collaborative mentoring model between higher education institutions and schools proved effective in supporting character-based learning relevant to digital-era challenges. This program contributes to strengthening character education through the integration of religious values and contemporary social contexts in a sustainable manner.
